Submitted by Kaitlin.Alford… on

The Mama Tried String Band plays the perfect tunes for a fabulous mountaintop concert: Bluegrass, country, Americana, blues, originals - it'll put you in the mood to savor your surroundings and sing around your campfire when night falls. Featuring Rebecca Padula's smokin' vocals, guitar, and ukulele; Linda Kallinger soaring fiddle solos and harmonies, Ukulele Clare's banjo, ukulele, harmonica, and vocals, and Kathy Mulligan's fine baselines.

Concert free with park admission. Meets at the shelter.

Trimbtych Concert at Mount Philo State Park

Join Trimbtych on Saturday Oct. 4 at Mt. Philo State Park and listen to a hauntingly ethereal sound that borders on the realms of neo-classical and americana-avant-folk. Kick off your weekend in Vermont with sonorous melodies of a vocal/saxophone quartet accompanied by primitive drum and bass rhythms defined by the trimba, a unique percussion instrument. The concert features music by Louis Hardin, AKA Moondog — the inventor of the trimba, and Julian Calv.

Concert free with park admission. Meets near the shelter.
