Online Reservations

You may reserve campsites, lean-to’s, and cabins online. Reserve online now.

Facilities such as picnic shelters and pavilions, group campsites and cottages will need to be reserved through the Reservation Call Center.

Green River Reservoir and Seyon Lodge handle their own reservations.  Please contact the parks directly.  Stone Hut has a lottery for reservations.

You may use this reservation process to lookup the availability of your favorite campsite, without making a reservation. Just use the process until you see the campsite selection list, after viewing the list, then close the browser or navigate back to the park’s home page. Until you submit your credit card information, a reservation is not saved.

Each reservation must be for one continuous block of time. If you need non-consecutive dates you will need to go through the online process for each separate block of dates. Each reservation block must meet the reservation minimums. You may reserve more than one site at a park on the same reservation, however each site must be for the same days and paid on the same credit card payment. If your needs cannot be met by this process, please contact the Reservation Call Center, they can handle complex reservations.

A campsite may show as available on the park list, but you do not have a “lock” on that site until you send your credit card information to finish the payment process. It is possible that someone else may be trying to reserve the same site as you and may send the credit card information first. If this happens you will get an error message explaining the site is not available. If you navigate back to the site list page, the site list will refresh, you can then select a different site. It is possible that the site may become open at a later date if the other party cancels.

You must create a customer account to use the online reservation process. This can be done as a step in making your first reservation or completed as a separate step before your first reservation. You will use your email address as the account user name. Although not required, it will benefit both of us if all members of your family use the same account to make reservations. Doing so will reduce the size of our database and minimize chances of confusion when later looking up what name a reservation is under.

All information collected is only for the use of Vermont State Parks and will not be sold or shared with outside vendors. Also be assured that all data you send as part of this reservation process is through a secure server and the data is encrypted for transmission. We do not keep any of your credit card information on our system!

Although reservations may be changed or cancelled, you cannot currently do that using the online process. To change or cancel a reservation you must contact the Reservation Call Center if your reservation is two or more weeks away from today, or contact the park directly if you wish to change or cancel a reservation that is less than two weeks from away from today.

Cancellation Policy

Now with Risk Free Reservations!
Make that reservation now and plan your adventure in a Vermont State Park, you've got nothing to lose! If you have to cancel, just call the Reservation Call Center or the park by 2:00 PM on the day before your arrival. When you call, you can switch your reservation to a new date for the same number of nights within the current season with no penalty.

Now that's happy camping!

For Tent/RV sites, lean-to’s and cabins:

If you cancel your reservation prior to 2:00 p.m. on the day before your expected arrival date, you are entitled to a refund of all fees except a $10 cancellation fee and your $6 reservation fee paid, per site. If at the time of cancellation, you rebook for another date in the current operating season, you won't lose the $6 reservation fee or the $10 cancellation fee.

If you cancel after 2:00 p.m. on the day before your expected arrival date, or, if you come camping and need to leave prior to the end of your stay, you can receive a refund for the unused portion (except for the required minimum), per site, if you notify the park staff before departing. No refunds will be issued for an unused portion of the required minimum reservation period.  If you are charged for the minimum number of nights that were in effect when you made your reservation, then the cancellation fee will not be charged.

For Cottages

If you cancel your cottage reservation 30 days or more prior to your expected arrival date, you will receive a full refund less a $10 cancellation fee and your $6 reservation fee paid.  If you cancel 14 - 30 days prior to your expected arrival date, you will receive a full refund less the equivalent of a two night stay; if you cancel less than 14 days prior to your expected arrival date, you will receive no refund.

For Shelters & Pavilions:
There is a $25 non-refundable reservation fee.  The balance of the fees may be refunded if cancelled at any time prior to the event.

Method of Refund

Your refund will be issued in the same payment method in which the payment was originally received.  Optionally, you may choose to receive your refund in park credit, which must be used by the end of the calendar year.  The credit can, however, be used to make camping reservations for the next camping season.
